Some Epson cartridges have a "Smart Chip". This is a small
computer chip
installed on the cartridge. It will not allow you to refill the
cartridge without
being reprogrammed.
The answer is our new universal chip reprogrammer. It will reset a chip
hundreds of times.
The resetter can be used on both black and color cartridges. The
resetter is
designed for use on OEM cartridges. It does NOT work on some generic
cartridges.
The generic cartridges that we sell will work well with it.
Following are the cartridge numbers it will reset:

Following are some printer models the resetter supports:
Epson Stylus Photo 780, 785EPX, 790, 810, 820, 825, 830, 870, 870LE, 875DC,
875DCS, 890, 895, 950, 1270, 1280, 1290, 2000P, 2100, 2200. Stylus C41, C42,
C50, C60, C61, C62, C64, C70, C80, C82. Stylus Color 680, 777, 777i, R300 etc.
If your cartridge number is listed the resetter will work
with your printer. The resetter does not care what printer you
are using.
