The new 10,000-square-foot factory will produce JETMOS chips. JETMOS is the main logic that controls the ink-firing action [(*editors comment) - among other things I'm sure, like controlling your refilling practices] within the chamber of an HP inkjet cartridge. With the new plant, HP Singapore will be capable of producing the majority of the microchips used in HP inkjet cartridges worldwide, the company said in a statement. If you ask me it looks like HP is going to be adding a LOT of smart chips to their upcoming line of printers. This could mean a bumpy ride for those who want to refill their HP cartridges. If you own a HP and don't feel refilling is for you, but you still want to save money (who doesn't). Try our remanufactured cartridges, these cartridges cost about half as much as the OEM, but the guarantee is the same. ================================================= Atlascopy.com New Products This section will promote the new products being offered to the consumer from Atlascopy.com. It is used to remove foamy ink from Epson cartridges and for injecting ink through the bottom port. After a few refills a sponge filled cartridge may not take as much ink as when first refilled. The reason for this is foam or froth. Use the Bottom Fill Adapter to remove the foam. Instructions on how to refill the foam with the B-fill can be found here: http://atlascopy.com/BFILLinstructions.htm You can purchase the B-Fill here: http://atlascopy.com/Atlas_kits/atlas_accessories.htm We are now selling OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products. We are selling Epson, Canon, Lexmark, Compaq, Nec, Hewlett Packard, Brother, and Xerox cartridges. Oem cartridges can be found here: http://atlascopy.com/cartridges/ ================================================= General Tips Each newsletter will have a few tips to help you in the re- filling process. You can Email questions to Atlas@dvol.com. Tip #1 No ink pooled at exit port on Epson cartridge (usually due to trapped air). Wrap your cartridge in a paper towel and place it in a plastic bag (to avoid any mess). Pick up the cartridge in one hand with exit port down and raise to top of your head. Quickly bring your arm down and stop abruptly at waist level or so. Repeat until there is some ink expelled from the exit port onto the paper towel. Return cartridge to printer and run head cleaning, then print. Sounds like witchcraft but it works! Tip #2 If you don't plan to refill your cartridge right away, put it in a zip lock bag with a damp cloth until you can get to it. These will keep the cartridge from drying out. You should never put tape on the print heads of color cartridges. This causes cross contamination. Tip #3 Care needs to be taken to ensure that the print head is kept clean in order to stop ink clogging in the print head. Some machines, mostly the Hewlett Packard printers, have a tendency not to clean the print head properly as part of their normal cleaning cycles. Often deposits of ink will set up on the end of the print head causing the cartridge to function sub- optimally. This problem can be fixed by gently cleaning the print head with a soft cotton cloth or Q-tip dipped in water - don't use tissues. Snap the cartridge in and out a couple times to get a good connection after cleaning. Keeping the print head clean greatly increases the number of successful refills. ================================================== Your ad here for only $10.00 ================================================== Tim Lancaster http://atlascopy.com atlas@dvol.com ________________________________________________________________
